Preserve Tomorrow

It all started at the end of September.

The nights grew colder, the leaves took a plunge in an ocean of yellow and caramel paint and I was more and more addicted to Apple and Cinnamon tea (also, Enya songs were playing on repeat again). I was officially ready to embrace Fall, warm clothes, fluffy slippers and heavier perfumes.

In this context, when the whole Blake-Lively-is-pregnant madness began, I took a look on her site, Preserve. Along the tempting recipes with pumpkins and apples, I found pictures from a party she attended. And, unlike some haters, I truly felt a special warmth oozing from her Bringing up baby pictures.

The vintage glow, laid back atmosphere, comfortable setting, tartan and flowers, reds and yellows – all this inspired me to style a Preserve look, perfect for fall.

Now, nobody understands this project as well as Blake does, but to me, it spoke of country charm, southern traditions and a slow-paced life. All that translated in a relaxed outfit, with neutrals and flared jeans.

Basically, the Preserve girl can be seen in flared jeans and loves tartan sweaters, especially in the fall. She never puts fashion before comfort, so naturally, skips the leather jacket for a woolen coat that goes perfectly with a camel Panama hat.

Her weaknesses? Extremely detailed shoes and jewellery. She’ll always trade stilettos for low-heel boots in leather or snakeskin. Gold, diamond rings don’t impress her, either. She will rather wear natural stones or minerals in a wooden setting.

What sort of girl are you? And do your clothes reflect YOU?
