My Take: From Office to Off-Duty

{H&M blazer, vintage clutch, Vila tee, no-name skirt}

It’s really hard to balance work and personal life – from knowing when to stop and taking time off with your family to the small things, like what to pick up in the morning and wear also at night. It’s a challenge, right, to dress in office attire but look casual enough to go on a girls’ night out?

Luckily, I work in a creative environment that allows some style amendments. While you won’t be seeing me in sequins and shorts at the office anytime soon, I won’t surrender to the black and white combo. Instead, I’m going to take some classic pieces and mix them with casual elements.

The other day, I simply paired a Vila textured white blouse with a navy skirt with fringes, keeping the accessories to a minimum – a simple necklace from Santorini.

Barratts nude pumps give it a classic look while the black, crocodile skin clutch is perfect for a more elegant setting – like a beautiful restaurant.

The blazer is really a gem – I bought it from H&M knowing it will become a staple piece. The shape goes with a corporate environminent but the absence of lapels and the leather sleeves give it a chic note.

Beauty-wise, I went with a basic chignon and natural make-up, with just a splash of color.

How do you handle the office/off-duty style – do you invest in separate wardrobes or buy items that can be worn in different ways? What is you staple piece for work?
