Without question, this season’s trendy fabric is… velvet. Not only that, olive green (also known as Cypress in the Pantone circle), seen often in military prints, has made its way into every fashionista’s closet. Crop tops are another tendency we’ve seen all year long.
So why is this “Green Turtle Neck Long Sleeve Cropped T-Shirt” so… WRONG?
Two words, my friends: cheap and flouncy. You don’t need a product description to figure out this is no velvet, but 100% polyester. Too shiny and cheap at the touch, it makes a sexy, glam top extremely kitsch and ordinary.
The creases are a reflection of poor tailoring, obvious also at the add of... bell sleeves. Flouncy, flamenco sleeves that have no business here. Paired with high-waist mom jeans, this look has DISASTER written all over it.
A $12 dress looks better than this all-over-the-place top, don’t you agree?
